From Temporary Repair to Permanent Underground Lighting Restoration in Copiague, Long Island

At Allways Electric Corp., we recently returned to a condominium community in Copiague, Long Island, to complete a permanent repair to an exterior pole lighting system. During an earlier emergency service call, we installed temporary wiring to safely restore lighting after the original underground electrical system failed. Once the condominium association approved the permanent repair, we returned to replace the damaged wiring with a durable, code-compliant installation.

New PVC conduit installed on the building replacing the deteriorated EMT serving the exterior security lighting.

Emergency Lighting Restoration

When the underground electrical system failed, the exterior conduit had become severely corroded, causing the pole lights to go out. We installed temporary wiring to safely restore lighting until a permanent repair could be scheduled, helping maintain security and safety throughout the condominium community.

Permanent Repairs Completed

  • Removed the temporary wiring installed during the emergency repair.
  • Removed the corroded EMT conduit serving the building-mounted security light.
  • Installed new PVC conduit and weatherproof junction boxes.
  • Pulled new #12 AWG copper conductors.
  • Installed a galvanized underground conduit sleeve to the existing in-ground junction box for the pole lights.
  • Tested the complete lighting system for safe, reliable operation.
  • Allways Electric Corp. proudly provides emergency electrical service, underground feeder replacements, exterior lighting repairs, and commercial electrical installations for condominium associations, co-ops, and property managers throughout Copiague, Long Island, and the surrounding Nassau and Suffolk County areas.
