The work was needed as a result of fire, smoke and soot damage.
The work involved included:
- New 200-amp service
- New 100-amp sub panel
- Cut back and rewire all circuits
- Install AFCI circuit breakers
- Megger test all circuits to locate concealed damage
- Replace all devices and fixtures damaged by smoke and soot as required by UL listing and NEMA (National Electric Manufacturer Assoc.)
- Install smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms
- Application for inspection and obtain a certificate of approval
