Our work involved residential electrical work to rewire a fire and water damaged electrical system.
All of the damaged wiring was removed.
Megger testing was done to all remaining, concealed undamaged wiring to ensure safety in the event of concealed damage or defects.
The newly rewired areas were all done to comply with the National Electrical Code requirements including:
- New duplex decora style outlets
- New decora style switches
- New recessed LED lighting
- New wiring to decorative customer supplied fixtures
- New circuits to all appliances
- Central air conditioning wiring
- GFI – ground fault circuit interrupter outlets
- AFCI – arc fault circuit interrupter circuit breakers
- Smoke alarms interconnected with 10-year battery back up
- Carbon monoxide alarms interconnected with 10-year battery back up
An application for inspection was submitted and a certificate of approval obtained for the home owner and building department.
